1. What is the Vocal Fest all about?

Vocal Fest, fondly known as VoxFest, is a platform for singers to meet together and learn from practitioners in the industry. It is an opportunity to take your singing to a whole new level, explore how you could venture further in the music industry and collaborate with diverse talents from all over the country.

 

2. Is it a competition?

No, it is not a competition. Vocal Fest is all about collaboration but it will push you beyond your status quo.

 

3. What's the registration process?

If it's your first time, here's how you can be part of the experience.

  • Step 1: RECORD a video of yourself singing no longer than 90 seconds of a song.
  • Step 2: POST your video on our FB Page (@VoxFestMalaysia) or on Instagram. Hashtag #myVoxFest and#VoxFest2018.
  • Step 3: REGISTER upon notification with payment and contact details.

 Early Bird: RM180 (til 31 January 2018)
 Regular: RM250

#myVoxFestAlumni are exempted from Steps 1 & 2. Just drop us a note on FB or IG (@VoxFestMalaysia) and we'll send you the registration link.

 

4. Do I really need to submit a video entry?

Yes, if you are a first-time participant. The videos give us a rough idea of each participant’s style and skill. This helps us to prepare for your group work and Vocal Fest Showcase.

#myVoxFestAlumni may register directly. 

 

5. How do I pay my registration fee?

If you have already filled in the registration form but missed the payment details, here's how:

a) Online Payment to OCBC Bank

Other Payment Details: Your name as stated in Registration Form
Alert recipient by email: voxfest@fourfortyrecords.com

b) Cash/Cheque Deposit to OCBC Bank

Please send a scan or photo of the bank-in slip to voxfest@fourfortyrecords.com as proof of payment.

 

6. How do I get to Oasis Ara Damansara?

If you are taking public transportation, you could alight at the Ara Damansara MRT Station and take a 10-minute Grab/Uber/cab ride to Oasis Village. If you are flying in from Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Bandar Aceh or Phuket, Oasis Village is a 10-minute drive from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang (SZB).

 

7. Are there makan outlets nearby?

Yes! There is a whole range of F&B outlets in Oasis Ara Damansara. 

 

8. Are there hotels or B&Bs nearby?

If you're travelling in for the event, you could consider Airbnb rooms which are available in the Oasis Ara Damansara. There are also serviced apartments and a boutique hotels such as Pacific Place @ Ara Damansara, The Oak Residences and Sovotel Boutique Hotel, Kelana Jaya.
